Rude Mechanicals Premieres
Charlie's newest play for children, Rude Mechanicals , premiered at Summit School in Winston-Salem, NC in November, 2009. The play is an updating of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, set in a high school in 1969.
The Emporer's Birthday Suit Published
Charlie's play The Emporer's Birthday Suit, which premiered at Summit School in April 2009, will be published by Pioneer Drama in late 2009. The play features a beanstalk, a rock band, and of course a fabulous suit of clothes!
Forthcoming Young Adult Novel
Charlie has just completed the manuscript of The Fat Lady Sings, a "fat-friendly" young adult novel about a group of high school theatre friends. If all goes well, a publication date will be announced soon!
