OK, I know my blogging has been irregular (or even absent) over the last couple of months, so I am going to make you a promise. In 2014 I will post a blog at least once a week. Every week. For fifty-two weeks. You can hold me to that. I may post after four days, or it may slide to eight, but when December 31st rolls around, there will be fifty-two 2014 blogs in my archive. Here’s the deal—if I don’t post fifty-two blogs in 2014 and you call me on it, I’ll send you a free copy of my new novel, First Impressions which will be coming out in early 2015.
Here’s just a little of what you can expect in 2014: a menu for your book club meeting, more posts on literary tourism, reflections on the writing process, helpful hints for book collecting, a look a some of my favorite rare books, reviews of some exciting new novels, a look at the relative merits of e-books and printed books, and blogs about some of the people you will meet in the pages of The Bookman’s Tale and First Impressions, including William Shakespeare, Charles Dickens, Jane Austen, William Morris, and more.
You can also “Like” my Facebook page where, in the coming year, I’ll be posting quotes from my new novel, information on the paperback tour for The Bookman’s Tale, photographs illustrating The Bookman’s Tale, and links to other great blogs about the book world.
If all that’s not enough, you can follow me on Twitter at @CharlieLovett42 for even more connections to the world of rare books
2014 looks to be exciting with many foreign editions of The Bookman’s Tale arriving as well as the US paperback coming in May. By the end of the year, I’ll be doing press interviews for First Impressions. And if the world of rare books is anything like as exciting as it was in 2013, I’ll be sure you know all about it through one of my social media outlets.
And remember—you can comment on my blog and Facebook posts and respond to my tweets, so I look forward to hearing from you in 2014 as well.
